Robert holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University. His dual credentials have enabled him to advise clients and organizations with precision, insight, and a strong ethical foundation.
Throughout his career, Robert has served on numerous boards and committees, including the Ridgefield Visiting Nurse Association and the Ridgefield Library, where he has contributed his time and expertise to strengthen community resources. His leadership extends beyond the boardroom—he’s a passionate advocate for education, healthcare, and local development.
Outside of his professional and volunteer work, Robert is an accomplished athlete. He has completed full marathons (26.2 miles) and participated in triathlons, demonstrating the same discipline and endurance that define his approach to work and service.

Associate Attorney Michael Knortz joined Robert J. Creamer P.C. in 2021. A Connecticut native, Michael grew up in Ridgefield and now practices in his hometown. He earned both of his degrees from the University of Connecticut, receiving his J.D. in 2017 and his B.A. in 2012. His practice focuses on probate, estate planning, fiduciary ser
Associate Attorney Michael Knortz joined Robert J. Creamer P.C. in 2021. A Connecticut native, Michael grew up in Ridgefield and now practices in his hometown. He earned both of his degrees from the University of Connecticut, receiving his J.D. in 2017 and his B.A. in 2012. His practice focuses on probate, estate planning, fiduciary services, and tax. He also has experience with real estate transactions, commercial leasing, public benefits, and business formations, including nonprofits. Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as a law clerk in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Immigration Litigation in Washington, D.C., where he wrote appellate briefs filed in the federal circuit courts. He also worked for several years as a project manager at Lawyers Without Borders, where he managed U.S. government grants to combat wildlife trafficking in Kenya and Tanzania. These experiences inform his commitment to making the legal process approachable and to providing tailor‑made solutions for each client.
